Ingredients
¼ cup butter
-
2 tbsp Selo extra virgin olive oil
8 apples (or pears), cored and chopped
½ cup brown sugar (or 2 tbsp honey)
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup water
Directions
In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, melt butter in olive oil.
Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring for 5 minutes.
Add apples and coat them in the sauce.
Sauté until tender before giving it water bath (to add flavor and prevent burning) while stirring often enough so it doesn't burn at any point during cooking process - 10-15 minutes should do nicely but tastes better when left longer if possible :)
Serve with ice cream!
