This meaty dish is succulent and full of flavor from some of the highest-quality Croatian olive oil around. To make it, start by heating two tablespoons of Croatian extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add 1 whole onion and 4-5 cloves of garlic to the pan, unpeeled. Now add to the pan 2 washed 1 kg octopus, along with a pinch of white peppercorn and 4 bay leaves. Reduce heat to low and let cook for at least 45 minutes until tentacles are tender - careful not to overcook them!
